Ibex Café was born out of a love for coffee, culture, and community. The idea started with a simple question: What if there was a place where the richness of Yemeni coffee traditions, the indulgence of European crepes and waffles, and the freshness of California juices all came together under one roof?
We wanted to create more than just another café. As students and coffee lovers ourselves, we often found that the best ideas, the warmest friendships, and the most meaningful moments happened over a cup of coffee. But we also craved something more — a place where you could start your morning with an espresso, recharge with a smoothie after class, or treat yourself late at night with a chocolate-drizzled waffle.
So we built Ibex Café right here in Berkeley, just steps from the university, as a space that feels welcoming at every hour of the day. A place where culture and flavor meet, where every detail — from the beans we roast to the chocolate we pour — is chosen with care.
